We’re proud to announce our latest Kinesio Ambassador, British Senior Champion and Team GB weightlifter, Alex Collier.

Alex, from Ashton under Lyme, won the British Senior Championships in 2015 and has his sights set on further success in 2016.

Alex’s athletic potential as been apparent from an early age. He began weight training at 13 after being introduced to the sport after attending trials at his school. He became the Great Britain schoolboy Champion and in 2011, at the age of 17, he went on to break two national records, a 128kg record in the clean and jerk and a record breaking total of 228kg. This performance secured the 69kg GB Youth Championships title and his records still stand today.

In 2015 Alex competed in the British Senior Championships and saw off tough competition to take gold and become the British Championn the 85kg class. The Senior Commonwealth Championships swiftly followed in Pune, India where Alex narrowly missed out on the medals with a 4th place finish in an incredibly competitive group. Although out of the medal positions, Alex still achieved personal success, posting a Personal Best total of 298kg.
