Kinesio crowned PR champions!

Kinesio UK has a track record of coming out tops in results and now the company has another massive win!

And this time it's a double!

Kinesio UK's "Mending on the Move" campaign won two Gold Awards in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Pride NE Awards 2013 for Best Healthcare Campaign and also for Best Low Budget PR Campaign.

The company beat large health trusts and other big companies to win two top prizes!

In addition, Kinesio's PR and Marketing consultant, Kate Slater, won Outstanding Freelance Consultant 2013.

The judging process for the PRide Awards is rigorous with a national panel of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries and choosing the winners. The 2013 Chairs of Judges, Gill Dandy FCIPR, Senior Consultant at The Centre for Strategy and Communication, and Chris Genasi FCIPR, Senior Consultant at APCO Worldwide, assisted in ensuring a fair and consistent judging process.

Commenting on Kinesio's "Mending on the Move" campaign, the judges said: "This was a well-delivered campaign that has raised the profile of Kinesio Tape, positioned it as a credible and effective health product and increased turnover by 60%. There was a clear strategy and a range of tactics were utilised, including the use of social media and media relations, endorsement of a professional footballer and engagement with medical professionals. The campaign has achieved impressive results."

Managing Director of Kinesio UK, Kevin Anderson said: "It's been a phenomenal two years for Kinesio UK , brought about by the fantastic results that the product offers to people of all ages in whatever circumstances including sports, everyday injuries and in clinical environments. However we needed to let people know how effective our product was, and our PR and Marketing campaign has certainly communicated that message far and wide, not just to the sporting world and health practitioners, but also to the public at large."

"The product has received worldwide acclaim and one of the many results from this is that we now sell our pre-cut Kinesio in Tesco and Argos stores as well as Boots. In addition, the public now contact physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors up and down the country to ask whether they are Kinesio qualified and NHS physiotherapists are using it in hospitals to treat patients of all ages."

"Kinesio UK is now endorsed by the world's most expensive footballer - Gareth Bale - and the world's most expensive rugby player - Sam Tomkins. Our photographer Eric Murphy is a winner of North East Photographer of the Year and is shortlisted for this year's national BIPP Peter Grugeon Award. Now our PR consultant is Outstanding Freelance Consultant of the Year and we've won Best Health PR Campaign and Best Low Budget PR Campaign. I think you can safely say we only work with the best!"

Kate Slater commented: "Winning the CIPR Pride awards is a fantastic accolade for Kinesio UK and also for my work and is a huge vote of confidence in the campaigns that I create and implement. I am passionate about the value and effectiveness of excellent PR and marketing. The results of this campaign are testament to this."

CIPR President Sue Wolstenholme FCIPR, commented: "The North East CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the very best public relations campaigns, teams and individuals from across the North East. The exceptional quality of entries received this year is a real testament to the thriving industry which exists here in the region. The CIPR PRide Awards represent the best, most creative and most effective public relations work across the UK regions and nations and to win an award is a great achievement."
