Course Booking Terms

Kinesio UK is a trading name of Limbvolume Limited

Courses - Reservations, Payments, Deferrals and Cancellations


Reservations

 

  1. To book a place on a course a completed online enrolment form, or telephone enrolment, must be accompanied by payment in full or a minimum deposit of £75 inc vat.

  2. The deposit is made to secure a place on your chosen course. It is non-refundable and only transferable under certain conditions (see Deferral).

 

Payment of the invoice balance

 

  1. Will be due no later than 2 weeks before the date of the course and a reminder will be sent to you 7 days prior to this date. Failure to pay the balance by the due date could result in cancellation of your place on the course, the loss of any deposit paid and liability for the full amount.

  2.  If, on booking, the course date is less than 2 weeks away the full course amount will be due immediately.

  3. All course fees are subject to VAT (where applicable). Courses taking place outside of the UK may be exempt from VAT and, in these cases, this will be indicated on the booking form and invoice.

  4. Dishonoured cheques will result in a charge from Kinesio UK of £25 inc. vat to cover administration and bank charges, as well as the risk of being refused attendance on the course.

 

Course cancellations

 

  1. Cancellation requires written notification (email or letter) to be received by Kinesio UK at least 4 weeks prior to the course commencement date. The deposit amount of £75 is non refundable.

  2. Participants cancelling within 14 to 27 days notice will be liable for 50% of the course amount (to include the deposit).

  3. Cancellations made with less than 14 days notice will be liable for the full course fee. No refunds will be given for no-shows.

  4. All course deposits are non-refundable and transferable only under certain conditions (see Deferral).

  5. Participants providing more than 14 days notice may, at the discretion of Kinesio UK, defer to an alternative equivalent course date (see Deferral). A £30 admin charge will apply. Within 14 days, standard cancellation terms apply.

  6. Kinesio UK reserves the right to cancel a course at any time, without incurring any additional liability to the participant. In such circumstances we will offer alternative dates, a refund or a credit note.

  7. Kinesio UK will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay to, any of our obligations caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event). A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control.

 

Cancellation Period - Fees Payable

  • 4 weeks or more notice - £75 deposit (paid on booking) is retained by Kinesio UK

  • 14 to 27 days notice - 50% of the course fee is payable to Kinesio UK

  • Less than 14 days notice - Full course fee is payable to Kinesio UK

 

Refunds

 

  1. No refunds will be given for non-attendance of a course.

  2. Kinesio UK reserves the right to use its discretion to determine whether to make refunds, in exceptional circumstances, which fall outside the standard terms.

  3. Any refund made by Kinesio UK will be returned to the original payer by cheque or card. Card refunds may only be available if the refund is being made within 60 days of the original payment.

 

Deferral

  1. Where the full amount has been paid – or on payment of the full amount - an enrolment can be deferred, on one occasion only, to an alternative equivalent course date (subject to availability) and provided that Kinesio UK receives written/telephone notice at least 14 days prior to the original course commencement date.

  2. Course bookings may be transferable between participants, but only with prior approval from Kinesio UK and with at least 14 days notice prior to the course.

 

Course Materials

 

  1. All course materials, whether in written or electronic format, are (unless otherwise stated) supplied by Limbvolume Ltd t/as Kinesio UK (Registered Office: CBX, Cobalt Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE28 9NZ). Copyright of our materials (which includes, but is not limited to, layout, content, design, graphic, photographic, text, multimedia, audio visual material and other content) is ours or has been licensed to us by other companies in the Kinesio Group or by the relevant authors or owners. Course materials are protected under copyright laws of the USA, UK and other countries. All rights reserved.

  2. All course materials and any online subscriptions are provided solely for your personal use in connection with your course. You may not copy, reproduce or modify any such materials, nor permit any third party access to them.

  3. When booking onto and attending a Kinesio course, participants agree not to use the knowledge, or materials, to teach the Kinesio Taping method.

  4. Course materials (workbook and 3 rolls of tape) are included in the course fee.

  5. Course materials and Course pre-orders will be made available at the venue on the first day of the course. Where any course pre-orders are unavailable on the course date, goods will be sent out to participants with no cost for delivery.

  6. Please submit your name on the registration form as you wish it to appear on your certificate. A fee of £20 inc vat may be charged should you wish to amend or have a re-print of your certificate.

 

Government/Charity Funded Courses and Employer Registration

 

  1. If course fees are being paid by the UK government, MOD, NHS Trust or a UK organisation/charity, a representative from the sponsoring body must confirm in writing that funding has been approved if payment will not be received by Kinesio UK prior to the course date. Non-payment by the organisation will result in the participant becoming liable for any outstanding fees.

  2. The participant/organisation is responsible for providing a valid PO number and contact infomation for the finance department.

  3. Employer Registration: A course participant will only be accepted if the relevant employer has approved credit terms with Kinesio UK. Standard course payment terms will apply. A deposit of £75 inc. vat is payable on booking. Balance payment in full will be due at least 2 weeks before the course. In this situation, the employer is fully responsible for the payment of amounts due in all circumstances (including course cancellation). Kinesio UK reserves the right to refuse attendance for non-payment of fees at the commencement of the course, unless previously agreed with Kinesio UK.

 

General

 

  1. Kinesio UK reserves the right to charge interest at 10% per annum on overdue course amounts.

  2. Kinesio UK reserves the right to change the instructor, dates, prices and locations from the published timetables.

  3. Kinesio UK reserves the right to refuse attendance for non-payment of fees at the commencement of the course, unless previously agreed with Kinesio UK.

  4. All courses are non-residential. Kinesio UK will, if requested, assist by providing a list of accommodation for non-residential courses but it is the participants’ responsibility to make their own accommodation arrangements.

  5. Kinesio UK are not responsible for expenses incurred for hotels or travel. We endeavour to inform participants of any course changes with as much notice as possible, but we advise participants to book accommodation and travel on flexible rates that can be changed at short notice. This ensures participants do not incur fees for changes or cancellations where necessary.

  6. Participants are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a manner which demonstrates respect for Kinesio UK, its instructors, venue staff, fellow participants and property.

  7. Liability of Kinesio UK for losses arising from negligence, breach of contract or otherwise will be limited to the full amount paid by the relevant participant for the particular course. Except in the case of liability for death and personal injury, such companies will have no liability for indirect or consequential loss or damage.

  8. We intend to rely upon these Terms and any document expressly referred to in them in relation to the agreement between you and us. While we accept responsibility for statements and representations made by our duly authorised agents, please make sure you ask for any variations from these Terms to be confirmed in writing.

  9. Kinesio UK has the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time.
