Kinesio Taping Technique

For therapists who have attended a #KinesioTaping course, you'll know that one of the skills with the taping technique is knowing what type of cut and tension to use. We've put together a review below and you can click through the images at the bottom to see some examples:: - Jellyfish Cut: Ultra low Stimulus Gently lifts epidermis reduce swelling and encourage rehabilitation. - Snowflake Cut: Low Level of Stimulus Strip of tape that has six two-inch longitudinal cuts throughout the tape. - Web Cut: Very Low Level of Stimulus Tension is dispersed through and between slits over target tissue. - Fan Cut: Very Low Level of Stimulus Best for swelling and bruising - Y Strip: Low Level of Stimulus Tension is dispersed through and between two tails over the target tissue. - Donut Hole: Low Level of Stimulus for space correction and skin irregularities. Tension is dispersed through the therapeutic zone into the tails, avoiding contact with the most sensitive tissue. - X Cut: Moderate level of stimulus. Tension is focused directly over target tissue and dispersed through the tails. - I Strip: High level of stimulus. Used for deep muscle, ligament and joint correction.
